The weather has effected our SoyMVP fields just as it has corn and soybean fields across the state. Although we haven't necessarily reached our "target" planting dates in all fields, we will be able to learn just as much by using our research and recommendations on soybean which is planted later than the ideal date. That is what's nice about this program. Based off of years of university research, we can adapt with the producers we are working with.
There are still two full-season fields that are left to be planted, but planting in those fields should occur either today or over the weekend. Wheat harvest is in full swing across much of the area so double-crop planting won't be far behind.
I look forward to keeping you up to date with my travels across western Kentucky and with what is going on in the field!
